In the coming episode of "Vikings" Season 4, viewers of the hit series from the History Channel will see a different Rollo. His appearance will be quickly transformed from a Viking warrior to a Parisian ruler. With a new haircut and an expensive wardrobe, Rollo looked very much capable of ruling a nation. His wife, Princess Gisla, however, does not seem impressed by the change in his appearance. After seeing Rollo's new look, she shamelessly laughed at his face.

In the season 3 finale, Princess Gisla was adamant against marrying Rollo.

"I would rather be burned alive! He is a pagan! He has no soul! He disgusts me. He makes me want to vomit," she said.

In the end, Princess Gisla relented and married Rollo for the sake of her people. Their marriage was soon after arranged, believing that Rollo could eventually defend Paris against the Vikings. While he does not understand anything that comes out of her mouth, Rollo was immediately smitten by the princess' intensity and willfulness.

But for the good of Paris and her people, Princess Gisla reluctantly exchanged vows. Rollo, however, was tickled with the idea of become a major figure in Paris and delighted to marry a woman with such ambition and strength.

Elsewhere, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) continues his spiritual journey. By the looks of it, Ragnar's (Travis Fimmel) eldest son will battle it out with a huge bear in episode 2. In the promo, it was seen that Bjorn was actually the one who made the first move and attacked the animal. Before, however, he was able to take a swing with his sword, the bear's paw immediately swung at him. Gaining his momentum, Bjorn gathered all his strength and stabbed the bear on its side several times.

Speaking to IGN, "Vikings" showrunner Michael Hirst explained that the central theme for Season 4 is identity. He said that, one way or another, the characters will take this time to find out "who they are and why they are around."

Hirst explained that Bjorn decided to go into the wilderness to prove that he can survive without help from his parents.

"He believes that they don't believe he can survive. So he's going out there to prove something to himself and to find out who he is."

"Vikings" Season 4 episode 2 titled "Kill the Queen" airs Thursday, February 25 on the History Channel.
