Speculations are rife that Sean Boswell is on-board for the "Fast & Furious 8" trilogy while actress Eva Mendes is all set to fight a new enemy in New York.
"Tokyo Drift" star Lucas Black enacted the character of Sean Boswell in one of the previous films of the franchise. He also appeared in "Fast and Furious 7" when Vin Diesel goes to Japan in order to investigate the death of Sung Kang.
Meanwhile, Mendes is going to enact the character of Monica Fuentes. She may also gang up with Johnson and Diesel as they prepare to fight against a new enemy in the city of New York. Diesel was also rumoured to direct the movie, but later, F. Gary Gray was roped in for the job, according to Forbes.
The eight installment of the action-drama franchise "Fast and Furious" will be packed with a lot of new faces. After the tragic and untimely passing of actor Paul Walker, his brother filled in his shoes in "Fast and Furious 7." Fans are hoping that his brother Cody Walker will reprise the role of Brian O' Conner in the upcoming movie as well.
The entire crew of the movie are well aware of the fact that bringing the late Walker's role till the end is really important for the entire franchise to be held together. The NBC Universal vice chairman Ron Meyer, told MSN about the confirmed presence of Cody Walker in "Fast and Furious 8".
Additionally, it was rumoured that the antagonist in the eight sequel will be none other Charlize Theron. If it is actually true, with her as the villain, the story will be full of fresh plots and angles. Even though the rumours about Theron being cast in this movie are going stronger every day, the Oscar winning actress remains tight lipped about this news.
Apart from Theron, the rumour mill is also strong about Angelina Jolie being approached to play the role of a villain in the upcoming movie. Even though there is no confirmation regarding the Academy Award winner joining the cast, Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz in the movie, really wants Jolie to be cast in the movie.
On the other hand, Ruby Rose is also confirmed to join the cast of "Fast and Furious 8." The actress became a known face with her recent role in Netflix original "Orange is the New Black."
"Fast and Furious" regulars like Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson are all confirmed to be cast in the eight installment of the franchise. "Fast and Furious 8" will release on the big screen on April 14, 2017.
