New details for the "Power Rangers" reboot film will feature the full plot details of the film, cast members training for their roles and leaked behind-the-scenes images.
The plot details for Saban and Lionsgate's collaboration of the new "Power Rangers" reboot film have been revealed as the details will be based on the original 1990's TV series.
According to the synopsis, the film reboot is set on Angel Grove as five teenagers are chosen by destiny to become earth's protector against an incoming alien threat. These five teenage heroes are destined to save the world, but must first come in terms with their real-life issues and band as a team to stop the incoming danger and become Power Rangers, Cinemablend reported.
The "Power Rangers" reboot film will comprise for the five original characters from the TV series Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Billy and Trini. As pointed out in the plot synopsis they are chosen to defend their planet against an incoming alien invasion which will likely be led by Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks), but before they can be a team they must first struggle from their individual problems.
For instance, Jason (Dacre Montgomery) is a former high school football star who has lost his way due to an unfortunate event, while Kimberly (Naiomi Scott) is a popular student who has just recently returned from school after mysteriously leaving six months prior to the start of the film.
Zack (Ludi Lin) is a fun loving character who likes to show-off, but underneath his confidence and bravado has some sort of insecurity.
Billy (RJ Cyler) is a very smart but awkward student and happens to be one Jason's friends at school and Trini (Becky G) is the "new kid" in town and has anti-social personality due to her parents moving from place to place.
With that in mind, the "Power Rangers" reboot could explore these struggles and discover that they must overcome and work together in order to defeat Rita Repulsa and her alien army.
In oher news, the cast members of the "Power Rangers" reboot movie posted several photos of their trainings on their Instagram accounts. Each of the cast members like Dacre Montgomery, Ludi Lin, RJ Cyler and Becky G. have hit the gym doing several workout sessions and martial arts classes, ComicBookMovie reported.
Aside from the training photos, Vancouver Sun editor Francois Marchand tweeted several images of what appears to be the behind-the-scenes production of the "Power Rangers" reboot film, as one of the photos shows a police car with the word "Angel Grove" in it.
The "Power Rangers" reboot film is scheduled to launch in cinemas on March 25, 2017.
