Mercurial team Inter Milan (15-7-6, 51 points) is set to clash with surprising squad Bologna FC (10-12-6, 36 points) at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro as the 2015-2016 Serie A season moves forward.
Inter Milan had been struggling lately, unable to find victory in three of their last six matches, which relegated them to the fifth spot of the league table after reaching as high as the second position during midseason.
It was rumored that an alleged internal issue between head coach Roberto Mancini and team captain Mauro Icardi is the reason for the team's derail in their last few matches, which caused further rumors that the Argentine striker is requesting to be transferred off San Siro in the summer.
I Nerazzurri's most recent match was a win, though, as the team was able to pull off a 3-1 demolition of lowly Palermo on Sunday also at their home stadium, via SkySports.
Serbian winger Adem Ljajic scored the opener at the 11th minute while Icardi immediately followed it up 12 minutes later for a 2-0 lead. Palermo forward Franco Vazquez was able to put his team on the board right at the stroke of halftime to cut the Inter lead to one at the half, 2-1.
Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic scored a third goal for Mancini's side nine minutes into the second half, which proved to be the winner that sealed the game for La Beneamata.
Meanwhile, newly-promoted club Bologna settled for another goalless draw, this time with bottom-three squad Carpi, at their home field of Stadio Renato Dall'Ara also on Sunday, as per ESPN.
It was the third straight scoreless tie for Roberto Donadoni's men following their matches against reigning champions Juventus on Feb. 19th and Palermo on Feb. 28th.
While the game ended up without a goal, the report described it as a "frantic" match with plenty of opportunities on goal for both squads.
The predicted result is a 3-0 romp for Inter Milan as they begin another winning run after quite some time.
