AnTuTu, a benchmark that tests GPU and CPU performance, has released their report on the Top 10 Smartphone SoC's in the market. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 occupies No. 1 spot.
According to a Slash Gear report, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor received a score of 136,383 and won the No. 1 spot. This is almost 4000 higher than that of Apple A9. Furthermore, performance of Samsung Exynos 8890 is close to that of Apple A9. Apple's A9 CPU scored 132657 points and Exynos 8890 scored 129865 points.
Sony Xperia X Performance, LG G5, Mi5, Letv MAX Pro and Samsung Galaxy S7 are some of the smartphones that sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Report also suggest that at present Samsung Galaxy S7 is the only smartphone that sports Exynos 8890.
Also, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 and Snapdragon 652 give excellent performance. In addition, Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 is close to Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 in performance. Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 has surpassed Snapdragon 808 processor. MTk processor is not in the list because there is no phone that sports MediaTek MT 6797 processor.
Samsung Galaxy A9 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and Redmi Note3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor.
When it comes to GPU performance, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (Adreno530) is the most powerful with 55,000 points scored in AnTuTu benchmark.
Samsung Exynos 8890 (Mali-T880 MP12) almost equals Apple A9 (PowerVR GT7600). However, GPU performance of HiSilicon Kirin 950 (Mali-T880 MP4) is not good enough. Its GPU results are identical to Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 (Adreno510) and Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (Adreno418).
Samsung Galaxy S7, which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, has 32GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM. In addition, the handset has a 3000mAh non removable battery.
The tech giant Samsung launched Galaxy S7 in February this year. Other features of the Samsung device include a 5.1 - inch display, 5-megapixel front shooter and 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, Digital Trends reported.
The camera of the Samsung Galaxy S7 has Dual Pixel Autofocus. The feature allows the device to capture 95% more light than the Samsung Galaxy S6, allowing for clearer photos in poor light conditions.
Moreover, the Samsung smartphone has an always-on display and comes with an IP68 rating. The Galaxy S7 supports wireless charging.
