The latest details for "Street Fighter 5" will feature the first appearance of Alex in the game roster, as well as new game modes, online contents and gameplay fixes.

Capcom announced the new details for the upcoming March DLC update for "Street Fighter 5" as it will introduce a new character joining the sequel's already impressive roster, Alex. Alex first appeared in "Street Fighter 3" video game as wrestler/grappler character.

In "Street Fighter 5", Alex is described as a powerful grappler that can deal with a lot of damage to his opponents using close combat moves and can inflict midrange damages using his long limbs. In addition, Alex has a variety of special attacks that can cover a large portion of the screen for those times when opponents keeps him out, Capcom Unity Blog reported.

Alex's V-Skill is called "Overhaul" which allows him to stretch himself and gets ready to land a powerful blow to his enemies. Once Alex finishes his animation, his attacks will cost a lot of damage as if they were counter attacks. However, when the opponents dodge, miss or blocked the attack, Alex loses the hard hit bonus.

The V-Trigger for Alex is called "Rage Shift" were in he channels his wrestling training and gains access to a powerful clothesline attack. The clothesline can be charged during Rage Shift and can parry an attack. At full charge the attack can break an opponents guard while blocking, leaving them open to immediate attacks.

Alex's critical art is called "Heavy Hammer"were in he hits the opponent with a thunderous chop that knocks his/her around. Alex then grabs them and takes them up to the highest of heights in a crucifix hold, only to viciously drop them down on their heads at the fastest of speeds.

In other news, Capcom revealed new gameplay details for the "Street Fighter 5" March update as it feature new game modes, online contents, bug fixes and overall gameplay improvements.

Two game modes are added in Challenge mode such as "Demonstration" and "Trials". Demonstration will allow gamers to learn the ins and outs of "Street Fighter 5" through helpful tutorial content and contains several helpful contents for the playable characters within the game. Beginner Turtorials will have 12 sessions covering movement, basic attacks, special attacks, V-system, counters, throws etc. Intermediate Tutorials will cover 11 lessons featuring projectiles, invincibility frames, armor, armor breaks etc. Advance Tutorials will have four lessons that covers dashing, combos and many more. Character Tutorials will allow gamers to explore each available character with 16 lessons.

Trials on the other hand, will test the gamers knowledge and skills of their characters in "Street Fighter 5" from basic to advance combos, and will earn extra Fight Money if they complete it.

In-Game shop will be available in the March update which allows gamers to purchase extra contents such as DLC characters and Story Mode costumes.

Online Rematch Option allows players to play a 2/3 set in Ranked Match, provided both players accept the rematch. The Battle Lounge improvements will include eaight persons in the lobby with match spectating.

Bug fixes will include the lack of XP received during Casual matches and disappearing colors for the characters. There also in-game tweaks for characters M. Bison, Rashid, Vega and Chun-Li, VG 24/7 reported.

The DLC update will launch on March 31 for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms as "Street Fighter 5" is currently available in video game stores around the world.
