Attack on Titan Season 2 (Shingeki no Kyojin) TV anime series is still in production right now, Attack on Titan director Araki Tetsuro revealed this piece of information in the upcoming April issue of Bessatsu Shonen.

Araki confirmed he and Isayama are still working very hard to complete production for the second season of Attack on Titan. This statement from the Director himself will hopefully squash reports by several online media outlets about the production hitting a wall because of lack of story material for a 25-episode season.

Aside from revealing the current status of production, Araki also had a discussion with Isayama regarding some points in the story that needs proper editing or clarification. One of which is whether or not Sasha Blouse really needs to speak in her native dialect since readers are used to see her speaking in common tongue.

"As I get through Koutejetsujou no Kabaneri's production, I'm also continuing my work on the second season of Shingeki no Kyojin, so I have had many discussions with Isayama-sensei. For example, during Sasha's storyline (In manga volume 9), does she say her final line "I'm home" in the common tongue? Or does she use dialect?"

Araki and Isayama also debated on what approach they would use as they unveil Reiner Braun's true identity as colossal titan, and certain quotes by Levi that quite contradicts his personality.

All in all, Araki stressed the team is meticulously working on every detail of the story, making sure no stones left unturned in its anime adaptation. With an intriguing plot and charismatic characters, he believes Shingeki no Kyojin will wind down among the most influential animes of all time.

"It's rare to adapt manga with a storyline that's this impressive, so I will be extra cautious. Whether it's season 1 or season 2, I'll be mentally prepared to face the production challenges. To animate Shingeki no Kyojin is a cultural undertaking, and because I understand that this is work that will have historical value, I absolutely cannot make mistakes. I'll continue to treat it as an extensive series that requires much in-depth investigation and design. Season two's production continues on!"
