The latest details for "Star Wars Battlefront" will feature virtual reality gameplay soon and the official release date for the "Outer Rim" DLC expansion.
Video game retailing shop GameStop revealed that launch date for "Star Wars Battlefront's" new DLC expansion "Outer Rim" for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms, According to GameStop, the "Outer Rim" DLC expansion is set to launch on April 5 at a download price of $14.99.
Previous reports claim that the "Outer Rim" DLC was supposed to launch this month. "Star Wars Battlefront" will have four premium expansions that are scheduled this year, and a season pass entitles gamers to have them all.
The "Outer Rim" DLC will feature two new playable characters Niem Nunb and Greedo, as well as three new game maps such as Jabba the Hutt's palace, the sail barge garage and Nunb's home planet of Sullust. New weapons are revealed in the new DLC like the Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol as players can collect and equip a Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade, and Adrenaline Stim Star Cards.
DICE stated that two more DLC expansion for "Star Wars Battlefront" will be announced soon as the game will include the Bespin map in the summer and the Death Star in the fall.
In other news, a new gameplay feature for "Star Wars Battlefront" will coming soon as Electronic Arts and Sony will present virtual reality gameplay within the game.
Both companies have entered a partnership to have "Star Wars Battlefront" feature VR gameplay using Sony's latest device the PlayStation VR. Sony Computer Entertainment President Andrew House teased that the VR gameplay for "Star Wars Battlefront" will be "cinematic experience", Gamespot reported. So far, Sony has not yet revealed any further details regarding the PlayStation VR's other possible gameplay features.
Sony announced that PlayStation VR is set to launch on October with price of $400 in the United States, €399 in Europe, and £349 in the United Kingdom. "Star Wars Battlefront" is one of the 50 games selected by Sony to feature VR gameplay for the PlayStation VR.
"Star Wars Battlefront" is currently available in stores for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and for the PC.
