Game Developers Conference (GDC) came and went in the middle of March but Treyarch and Activision did not make any official announcements on the upcoming "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" DLC 2. However, reports indicate that the game's publisher Activision will finally reveal the second DLC of "Black Ops 3" in the coming weeks.
According to Gotta Be Mobile, after "Black Ops 3's" first DLC pack, titled "Awakening," was rolled out in February, they know how the game's developer and publisher will handle their upcoming DLC map pack releases. The publication predicted that the first official announcement of DLC 2 map pack will happen within the next two weeks.
Since the "Awakening" DLC brought four maps that includes Rise, Skyjacked, Splash and Gauntlet, the upcoming "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC, titled "Ignition," which is rumored to be released in April, is also said to add four new maps. In addition, an all new episode to the Zombies mode will also be introduced, plus, "Ignition" will have the same amount of items that was seen in "Awakening" DLC map pack.
Activision support even confirmed that gamers who already bought "Black Ops 3" "Awakening" DLC map pack will be able to upgrade to season pass; however, no announcement of the exact date or price was given.
Video Games Blogger listed that the second DLC map pack of "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" will be released on April 5 for PS4, while Xbox One and PC users will get their hands on the game on May 5. According to the list that was posted, Activision and Treyarch will release two more DLC map pack throughout the year.
The list by Video Games Blogger suggests that "Black Ops 3's" third DLC Map pack will be released on June 7 for PS4, while listing July 7 DLC 3 map pack release for Xbox One and PC. "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" DLC 4 map pack, on the other hand, will be released on Aug. 9 for PlayStation 4 users, while Xbox One and PC users will have it on Sept. 8. They have noted that these release dates are not yet final and may still subject to delays.
