The upcoming "Monster Hunter Generations" game will come to 3DS with a number of reversions linking it to the previous "Monster Hunter" games. Reports also indicate that the game might be coming to the west with the possibility of featuring "Monster Hunter" stories.
According to Co-Optimus, the game will include old weapon styles, locations, monsters and more. The new "Monster Hunter" series will include playable palicos, some gameplay tweaks and four flagship monsters. However, players will still gather, craft, upgrade and even mount other games, only that this time, it will be done with some style.
The most significant addition to the "Monster Hunter Generations" will be hunter arts and exclusive abilities to tweak or unlock a character's overall skill. The arts will be equipped by selecting a specific hunting style. As an example, when exploiting aerial style, the player possesses the skill to extend evade roll. Even more, the player can touch a monster as he rolls, then leap into the air and use other weapons.
"Monster Hunter Generations" will see its release in North America, and this has led to speculations that it could pave a way for Capcom and Nintendo's upcoming "Monster Hunter" games. Just to mention an example, "Monster Hunter: Stories" is one of the games that may likely hit the gaming market if the predecessor receives a positive reception among gamers.
Reports show that Capcom and Nintendo are currently collaborating in a new "Monster Hunter" game by the name "Monster Hunter: Stories." If it ends up being successful, the game may allow a player to collaborate with monsters.
Meanwhile, as gamers wait for the fate of "Monster Hunter: Stories," "Monster Hunter Generations" will be released in the west this summer. As per gaming experts' opinions, if it sells well, then other "Monster Hunter" games may follow suit.
According to Gematsu, "Monster Hunter Generations" will become the most customizable "Monster Hunter" experience up to now, and will serve as a fitting tribute to ten years that the series has been around. Players can expect some returning fan-favorites that have been both updated and adapted to the latest generation.
