"iZombie's" executive producer Rob Thomas provided hints on the possible ending of the brain eating series.
Thomas stated that the finale will be massive, and that the ending will explain unanswered questions in the past. He also added that it will be the stepping stone of the next season, as what was reported by the Comic Book Resources.
Looking back at season 1's finale episode, where Major, played by Robert Buckley, gunned down Meat Cute's zombie employees with a shotgun. That episode was already explosive, yet Thomas said that this season's finale will surpass it. According to him, fans can expect for a grand ending.
Thomas also exposed that this season would most likely come back to the boat party scene where Liv, the show's protagonist, became a zombie. He also revealed that the zombies who were locked-up in Max Rager's Company will be a factor this season.
Another thing that the fans should watch out for is the anticipated presence of Rob Thomas, not the show's executive producer, but Matchbox 20's lead vocalist. He is said to sing at the launching of Max Rager's Super Max.
As of the moment, there are two episodes left before the season ending finale. In this week's episode, fans saw Liv, played by Rose McIver, having a stripper performance. This is because she ate the brain of a stripper, which allows her to absorb the talent, trait and even the personality of that person.
Meanwhile, in the 17th episode of "iZombie" season 2, the team will be investigating the murder of a driven student.
Here is the synopsis of the next episode:
Liv and Detective Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) are investigating the murder of Bailey Barker (guest star Haley Marie Norman "Fired Up"), a type-A, ambitious, hyper-competitive and driven student near the top of her class. After consuming Bailey's brain we see Liv become very much like the girl she was before becoming a zombie. Meanwhile, things seem to be going from bad to worse for Major (Robert Buckley, and Blaine (David Anders) reaches out to Ravi (Rahul Kohli) for help.
The next episode of "iZombie" season 2, titled "Reflections of the Way Liv Used to be," will air on April 5.
For reference, since iZombie's first episode aired in 2015, it instantly climbed the pinnacle of fame and is considered as one of the big hits of the CW network. Perhaps, a zombie concept is the new thing in this era. Look at what AMC's "The Walking Dead" did to the ratings. The show clearly smashed their way up. On the other hand, unlike "The Walking Dead," iZombie offers a different taste to the viewers. That is the reason why it captured the support of its avid followers.
