Another good news was served to gaming enthusiasts as Activision and Treyarch just announced and gave details about "Call of Duty: Black Ops III's" second DLC.
Days after the confirmation that the next "Call of Duty" 2016 will have a futuristic setting, the game's developer and publisher also announced that the second expansion of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," titled "Eclipse," is slated to be released on April 19. However, just as what Yibada reported previously, the game's expansion pack will first hit PS4 users due to Activision's new agreement with Sony, and then Xbox One and PC will follow after a month.
The second "Black Ops 3" expansion pack will not be available for backwards compatibility nor be released to last-gen console version, just like the first "CoD: Black Ops 3's" DLC titled "Awakening." Similar to "Black Ops 3's" "Awakening" map pack, "Eclipse" will feature new multiplayer maps and zombies, Gamespot reported.
The new DLC map packs include Spire, Knockout, Rift and Verge, with the latter being a remake of "Call of Duty: World at War's" Banzai map.
According to Treyarch's description on every map, Spire map will take multiplayer battle into the cloud's futuristic sub-orbital airport terminal. The Rift map, on the other hand, is set high above an active caldera, wherein a harsh futuristic military complex is located. Knockout, on one hand, is set in a traditional Shaolin Temple with a retro twist, while Verge map will take multiplayer combat into the center of a distant post-apocalyptic future.
As for "Black Ops 3's" Zombies map, which is called Zetsubou No Shima, will feature variation of innovative transport. The said map, which is said to continue the story of "Black Ops" origin characters, will also feature new terrifying zombie enemies.
On other news, ESL Studios in California will be the next battleground for a virtual battle of Call of Duty World League Pro Division on April 2-April 3, wherein eight teams will have to compete and emerge as the champion of the North America Stage 1 season.
According to ESPN, the winner will get a chance to win $250,000 prize money, along with a guaranteed invite to the Call of Duty Championship 2016, where the winning team can get a chance to take home $1.6 million.
