Bethesda Softworks' American in-house development team established in 2012, Bethesda Game Studios, is believed to reveal new updates about its role playing game "The Elder Scrolls 6," or "Skyrim 2," at the much anticipated Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 (E3), which will be held on June in California.
Since Bethesda already confirmed their appearance on the event, many game enthusiasts are hoping that they will cover the much rumored "Elder Scroll 6" or "Skyrim 2's" release date. Although the company has not announced any details on what they will be covering, fans are convinced that it might be something about "Skyrim 2" or "The Elder Scrolls 6."
It can be noted that Bethesda Softworks' Vice President Pete Hines had his interview with Telegraph in 2015, wherein he confirmed that "Elder Scrolls 6" will likely happen; however, he actually referred to it as "Skyrim 2." In addition, all rumors that the next "The Elder Scrolls" installment will be based on Oblivion and Morrowind is not going to happen.
Although "Elder Scrolls 6" or "Skyrim 2" was officially confirmed, Hines also clarified that it will not be released anytime soon, as their focus is on "Fallout 4" and the game's downloadable contents. However, according to Geeksnack, the latest DLC of "Fallout 4," titled "Automatron," may have hinted that a big announcement will be made during E3 2016. It explained that a Vault-Tec lunchbox features a sticker on the side, which is normally placed in front, with the word "JUNE," and since E3 will be held on June, it is possible that Bethesda will make a huge reveal, including "Skyrim 2" or "The Elder Scrolls 6's" release.
Another possibility, however, is that Bethesda Softworks will also reveal updates on "Fallout 4's" rumored sequel, "Fallout 5," as "Fallout 4's" voice actor Ryan Alosio revealed earlier in March that "Fallout 5" is already in the works.
Needless to say, whether "Fallout 5" will be introduced during E3 or not, the said event will still be a good venue for the game publisher to introduce "The Elder Scrolls 6."
Other rumors surrounding "TES VI" is that the next "Elder Scrolls" installment could possibly set in Elsweyr, Valenwood, Morrowind or Black Marsh (which some calls it Argonia), while the title of the game is also being debated if it'll be called "Argonia," "Redguard" or just "Skyrim 2."
