Rapper Iron is currently in hot water after his name was linked to marijuana use. Due to the suspicion, together with nine other musicians, he was booked at the Seocho Police Station in Seoul on March 30.
The investigators revealed that the artists were brought to the station because they were said to have been smoking marijuana on a regular basis. The offense was one of the major crimes in South Korea but the musicians were not detained.
Since this news was reported, people already identified Iron as one of the offenders because the hints given fits his description perfectly. The 24-year-old was a runner-up in the hip hop rap battle program "Show Me the Money 3," and one of the clues stated that the person is a rapper/producer who participated in reality show.
In any case, the police alleged that 10 people including rapper Iron, songwriter Simo and a few other hip hop artists and trainees have been gathering in homes to smoke marijuana from March to December of 2015, Korea Times reported.
A couple of days after the arrest, the "I Am" singer was interviewed and rather than denying the charges, he admitted to have been using marijuana for some time now. The rapper also bravely said that instead of avoiding the issue or trying to defend himself, he intends to take all responsibilities for his actions.
Further, Iron stated that he does not have any objections in the reports released by the media on April 1 because they were true after all. "I admit the charges against me. It's something I did in my own will, and would like to do what needs to be done to correct the situation," he told Daily Sports.
The rapper was also asked about his future plans and he shared that he knew the consequences of his action and he would be reflecting. He also mentioned that he would like to focus more on music and let people know about him through it. Lastly, Iron then apologized to his fans while also saying how thankful he is for their support until now.
