"Empire" season 3 will name the person who was responsible for pushing Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) down the stairs.

In the previous episode, Rhonda and Andre (Trai Byers) lost their baby after the former suffered from serious complications after falling off the stairs.

While she was recovering at the hospital, Rhonda already had some flashbacks from the time of her accident, but she couldn't remember what exactly happened to her.

After a few days, she and Andre were able to go back home. The latter went up to the nursery room and broke down at the sight of their baby's toys and crib.

During that time, Andre had sort of an epiphany that Rhonda's accident didn't take place because she slipped. Rather, Andre believes that someone tried to jeopardize his wife and child's life.

At first, Rhonda couldn't believe that it's possible for someone to be so cruel, but she later on tried to recall what really happened to her and figured that there was indeed someone else at home that time.

Since then, there have been ongoing speculations that Anika (Grace Gealey) was the person responsible for pushing Rhonda down the stairs. After all, she's pregnant with Hakeem's child and would like to make sure that their baby will be the heir of Empire Entertainment.

In an interview with TV Line, Gealey hinted on the possibility of her character being the suspect. However, she made it clear that fans cannot just call Anika crazy because her motivations for her actions are actually deep.

"I'm telling you, people are going to be very surprised as they watch the storyline. I would call Anika desperate, unhinged. But you're definitely going to see some serious vulnerabilities in the back half of the season. You're going to truly understand what drives her, her intentions, her motivations," she said.

Meanwhile, Gealey also talked about "Empire" season three's finale episode.

According to her, it would massive because of all of the exciting storylines and twists.

"Don't miss that finale. No, for real, for real - if you do not get up, gasp and scream all at the same time, then you're not watching the right show," she said.

"Empire" season 3 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
