After School's Nana is set to make her acting debut on television via tVN's new drama called "The Good Wife." She will be one of the main characters and act alongside seasoned actors Jeon Do Yeon and Yoo Ji Tae.
According to Daily Sports News, the drama is actually a remake of the popular American TV series of the same title. The producers assured viewers that if the international audience like the original version, they would also enjoy the Korean adaptation.
The report added that a production staff of the upcoming drama revealed that Nana is likely to play as the attractive secretary of Jeon's character. With her inclusion in the series, the After School member now officially commence her acting career in her homeland. It was further said that she did not get the role easily as she went through a very strict audition process.
At any rate, Nana debuted as an idol singer and eventually branch out her career to hosting thus she has been appearing on multiple variety shows. She is also active as a model and graced many fashion shows and magazine covers. On top of this, she topped TC Candler's Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2014 and 2015, Fuse TV reported.
The beautiful artist already appeared in a few dramas but all of her appearances were just cameos so her role in the "The Good Wife" is considered as her official acting debut. Moreover, aside from Jeon and Yoo, Yoon Kye Sang and Kim Seo Hyung have been confirmed for supporting roles.
The new tvN drama is about a housewife who resumes her career as a lawyer after a 13-year hiatus. She made her comeback after her husband, who was a successful prosecutor, got entangled in a political scandal as was suddenly arrested for corruption.
Currently, Nana is part of After School and its sub-group called Orange Caramel. She is also one of the cast members of reality show "Real Men" women's special.
Meanwhile, "The Good Wife" is set to start its broadcast by the end of June or first week of July. It will replace and take the time slot of "Another Miss Oh."
