It looks like Kratos will be moving on to his next adventure as the plot for "God of War 4" is said to revolve on Norse Mythology. Also, the next installment is rumored to feature much enhanced graphics as it is said to be released on PS4K.
The rumors spread when industry insider, Shinobi602, posted reportedly leaked concept of the new installment of the "God of War" game franchise and it is said that Kratos will be jumping over to the Norse setting, IGN reported.
The photo, which is now unavailable online, shows Kratos in a Viking outfit, with an axe in hand and still fashions his trademark chin beard. However, there is also the possibility of the guy in the image as a counterpart of Kratos.
But, going back to the new weapon he is seen carrying, it is interesting to know if he will still wield his previous weapon, the Blades of Chaos. However, some fans have expressed their dismay on seeing Kratos again as they feel that his story has finally ended and a new face would be a welcome change to the game franchise.
Also, user Orisis Black posted on NeoGAF some details on how "God of War 4" will look like in the rumored improved version of the PS4, the PS4K console. However, Sony has yet to make an official statement regarding this claim.
"Info from a meeting we had yesterday. They stated that the GPU is twice as powerful as standard PS4 and much faster," the user wrote in the forum. "They did not say exactly how fast but that is was running at a higher clock speed while being much smaller than the original."
Also, the insider added that the price of the much improved console will be no more than $499. This might sound unfair to current owners of the PS4, which has been out in the market for just three years. Hence, a trade-in program is said to be on the table but nothing is guaranteed as of the moment. Also, the specs on the said PS4 4K edition has yet to be decided as the company is still weighing in the price of the CPU they will install in the console.
