Cellar-dwelling club Hannover 96 (5-21-3, 18 points) will try to build momentum from their last drawn match as the team faces contending squad Borussia Monchengladbach (14-12-3, 45 points) at the HDI-Arena on Friday, April 15th.

After going on a five-game losing slide, Hannover was able to pull off an impressive 2-2 draw on the road against top three team Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion on April 8th, as reported by Goal.

Hertha forward Vedad Ibisevic scored the opening goal right at the third minute of the match to give the hosts the early lead, but Die Roten's Polish striker Artur Sobiech quickly leveled the count at the 18th minute as the 1-1 tie was preserved until the halftime break.

Hannover stunningly took the lead in the second half, via a left-footed shot from center box by midfielder Manuel Schmiedebach off an assist by Turkish striker Kenan Karaman.

It was a close call for the capital city team as they managed to equalize the game at the 72nd with a close range strike by Ivorian forward Salomon Kalou to avoid a second straight loss.

Even with the draw, Hannover remains at the bottom of the league table with five games left in their current campaign. The team still has a chance to get into the relegation playoffs if they can build a winning streak in their remaining matches, although it would be highly improbable.

Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach continues its mercurial performances as the team was tripped by newly-promoted side FC Ingolstadt 04, 0-1, at the Audi Sportpark last Saturday, as per ESPN.

German forward Moritz Hartmann scored the winning goal for Die Schanzer as they handed the visitors their third loss in six games.

Die Fohlen is still at the fifth spot of the league table, but they are now three points behind fourth-placed team Bayer Leverkusen, who is also currently holding the fourth and final Champions League qualification spot for next season.

The Borussians also have five matchdays left to try and snag the last Champions League berth from Bayer or Hertha Berlin.

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 win for Borussia Monchengladbach.
