The highly anticipated Disney sequel, "Frozen 2," is reportedly set to start filming this 2016. Kristen Bell, herself, confirmed the news early this month while promoting her new film with Melissa McCarthy, "The Boss."
According to Mirror, just like the fans, Bell is extremely excited to start filming for "Frozen 2."
"They've just written it, and they're still doing tweaks, but I think we shall be recording this month," she said.
The actress shared that fans can definitely expect another quality film from Disney, which is something that made her come on board in the first place. She pointed out that the writers and the producers made sure that everything is perfect and they were not just making films just for the sake of.
"The story is great and they exude quality, and what I know about that whole team is that they wouldn't just put something out to put it out. And that's why it took them so long for them to even announce that we're doing a second one," Bell explained.
Bell added that the writers needed some time to figure out which direction the sequel will be heading towards to. She held that they were looking for a story that would be "important and engaging" to the audience. Disney Animation is also currently busy filming the first ever Frozen television special, airing during the 2017 holiday season on ABC.
Meanwhile, even before the Disney executives confirmed that there will be a sequel to "Frozen," fans have started to come up with different speculations on what the plot will be like. Some believed that we will all get to see the return of Hans (Santino Fontana) while others claim that "Frozen 2" will focus on Olaf (Josh Gad) and his love life. Elsa (Idina Menzel) will allegedly make a new snowgirl, which will capture Olaf's attention.
Another fan favorite theory is "Rise of the Guardians'" Jack Frost being part of "Frozen 2" and becoming Elsa's love interest. Sofia Hinger even made an online petition, citing reasons why Elsa and Jack will be perfect for each other.
Disney has yet to officially announce the release date of "Frozen 2."
