Bottom three squad Sporting de Gijon (7-18-8, 29 points) will try to get out of the relegation zone late in the 2015-2016 La Liga season as the team faces contending club Sevilla FC (13-10-10, 49 points) on Wednesday, April 20th at the Estadio El Molinón.

After being winless in five of their last six matches, Sporting Gijon now tops the bottom three teams that are in danger of getting demoted to the Segunda Division next season.

However, Sporting has to win as many games as they can in the last five matchdays as they are only one point behind the safety zone currently held by Granada and also only one point ahead of the bottom two teams, Levante and Getafe.

In their last game, Los Rojiblancos had settled for a 1-1 draw with middling squad Las Palmas on the road at the Estadio Gran Canaria for their second drawn match in the last three games, as per SkySports.

Defender Pedro Bigas scored the opening goal for Los Amarillos right at the third minute of the match and it took the visitors until the 48th minute in the second half to equalize the count, courtesy of a left-footed shot from the left side of the box from Spanish winger Jony.

Meanwhile, Sevilla had also settled for a 1-1 tie in the same matchday, this time against another reeling team Deportivo La Coruna at their home field of Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium last Sunday, as reported by ESPN.

The Sevillistas opened the scoring at the 21st minute with a close range header from midfielder Vicente Iborra, but Deportivo was able to level the score nine minutes before the full time whistle blew as forward Oriol Riera netted one from the center of the box.

It was the fourth consecutive winless performance of head coach Unai Emery's side as they dropped to the seventh spot in the league table and held on to the final Europa League qualifying berth with five games left in their current campaign.

The predicted result is a close 1-0 win for Sevilla to snap their four-game winless skid.
