South Korean actress Song Hye Kyo is once again laughing off rumors of her dating "Descendants of the Sun" co-star, Song Joong Ki.
The on-screen couple has once again sparked rumors that they are dating after they were spotted having dinner together in a restaurant in New York City. Hye Kyo's representative promptly dismissed the report by confirming that the lead stars did grab dinner together, but stressed that they were accompanied by others, the Australia News Network has learned.
However, the hype around their rumored romance continues, as some reports have speculated that the two reportedly invited some of the show's staff members in order for them not to be spotted eating alone together.
Now, the 34-year-old actress has finally addressed the rumors herself. In the midst of the press conference following the end of the blockbuster TV series on April 20, Wednesday, the actress revealed that she was in New York on an extended stay and was happy to get contacted by Joong Ki, who traveled to the city.
Hye Kyo went ahead to clarify that it was Fashion Week when they met and stressed the possibility that the mass public view it differently on the grounds that it was New York.
"Isn't it funny that we couldn't eat together because of scandal worries despite Song Joong Ki going all the way there, and when we are friends who have worked on a project together for six months?" Soompi quoted the actress as saying.
Hye Kyo and Joong Ki are best known for their roles as Dr. Kang Mo Yeon (aka Beauty) and Army Captain Yoo Si Jin (aka Big Boss), respectively. Due to the impeccable chemistry and romance that they have shown on the TV screen, the two have constantly been plagued with dating rumors.
According to earlier reports, the dating rumors' started when fans' spotted Joong Ki and Hye Kyo reportedly wearing matching bracelets. It drives' fans to speculate that the on-screen couple has taken their relationship to a whole new level.
The actress then slammed the couple bracelets rumors, by saying, "I think Song Joong Ki's stylist gave it to him. However, mine was just a hair tie. Somehow it became a bracelet at one point.
