South Korean actor Jin Goo has expressed his desire to enter into the Chinese film market and mentioned one particular actress that he has always wanted to work with.
Jin, who recently made his name known through his performance as an elite Special Forces soldier in KBS 2TV's "Descendants of the Sun," expressed that he wanted to work with veteran Chinese actress Fan Bingbing.
"I want to be very active in China. If I were to work on a Chinese piece, I want to work with Fan Bingbing. She's very pretty," All K-pop quoted the actor as saying at an iQiyi's promotional event in Beijing China on April 14.
The local reporter was keen to remind him that the Chinese actress is already engaged to actor Li Chen, where Jin smiled and responded with, "But I also have a wife." The actor's revelation seemingly burst the bubbles of his girl fans.
Nonetheless, the 35-year-old actor went on to say that he has been married since 2014 and is expecting a second child with his non-celebrity wife, Kim Ji Hye. In order to soothe the hearts of his fans, the actor went on to quip that he is a gentle brother next door.
The South Korean actor made her television debut in the 2001 gambling drama titled "All In." Appearing in many local dramas and movies since 2005, Jin rose to fame after his performance as Sergeant Major Seo Dae Young (aka Wolf) in the mega-hit "Descendants of the Sun" drama.
It has been learned that the drama is his first prime time in 14 years since his debut. After starring in the show, Jin has been on the rise as a trending star. The actor even admitted that he had never received much love and interests' from the mass public before.
"I admit that I'm really elated because this is my first time to receive such a hot response. It's like I'm getting another chance to start anew, really," Yonhap News Agency quoted the actor as saying to a group of reporters at a café in Seoul on March 22.
