Song Joong Ki recently sat down for an interview where he discussed his ideal woman, his co-star Song Hye Kyo, and his recent KBS 2TV's mega-hit drama "Descendants of the Sun."
In the midst of the special party for "A Werewolf Boy" film on Nov. 23, 2012, Joong Ki once said that his ideal type would be a clever woman and the next things he considers are the appearance and the personality, Yahoo! News has learned.
Now, the 30-year-old star was asked as to whether his ideal type had changed as he grew older, where he responded by saying, "My ideal type is still a wise and sensible woman. I think that's the most important thing and that hasn't changed," Soompi quoted the actor as saying during the Hong Kong press conference and ViuTV interview event.
Apart from that, the Hallyu star also talked about working with actress Hye Kyo. Joong Ki went on to express how grateful he is to Hye Kyo and pointed out one of the many things that he has to gain from the 34-year-old actress.
"She helped me a lot. She's a sunbae that I can never catch up to, I thought her reputation was well-deserved," he said. "Her personality is very confident... [And] that is also something I should learn from her as a hoobae."
In fact, the actor considers his popularity as only a brief wave and admitted that co-star Hye Kyo is the real Hallyu star, as she has been working abroad for a long time now. He even added that the actress is "very" respectful of the people around her.
Joong Ki and Hye Kyo play the on-screen couple on the recent blockbuster melodrama. It takes after the peacekeeping love story between the captain of United Nations' peacekeeping troops named, Yoo Si Jin aka Big Boss and Dr. Kang Mo Yeon amidst a conflicted battlefield in an anecdotal nation of Urk.
Due to its unique central plot, the drama successfully concluded by maintaining its number 1 spot both in local and nationwide TV rating game. According to AGB Nielsen, the final episode of the TV series has drawn 41.6 percent in audience viewership ratings.
To date, the drama's production company, NEW, said that the drama has already been sent out to 32 nations across the globe.
