It seems that the future of Valve's first person shooter video game "Half Life" is getting darker. This is due to the absence of reports or factual details pertaining to the third installment of the said video game. It was way back in 2004 when Valve released "Half Life 2," and now, almost 10 years has passed, there is still no confirmation coming from the game's developer that it is developing "Half Life 3".
However, fans of the game refused to quit hoping, and the new rumor that Valve might release a third installment of the science fiction first person shooter game under the Virtual Reality platform has once again made the fans optimistic, News Everyday reported. It is said that the "Half Life 3" will eventually surface in the near future, and it might be released 2 years from now.
Although fans have been increasing the hype of this rumor, and has been providing non-stop speculations just to ignite the interest of more individuals to actually believe that "Half Life 3" is indeed coming on Virtual Reality, its game's developer has once again refused to give a statement about it.
In addition, another bad news is that the game's designer Marc Laidlaw already quit his work in Valve and is now enjoying his retired life. In fact, in his email to Reddit, Laidlaw reiterated that he is no longer affiliated with Valve or its rumored operation with "Half Life 3."
Meanwhile, the "Half Life 3" video game might be unclear, but one thing is sure as of the moment - the fact that the famous film director J.J. Abrams is going to make a film about "Half Life." Abrams exposed that he and his team are working on it, but he emphasized that the film might not be released in the near future.
It is quite unfortunate that the fans of "Half Life" have to wait for a very long time just to get a sequel of their favorite game. In spite of this, fans are still very optimistic that in the coming weeks or months, Valve will eventually release details about the rumored "Half Life 3."
