It has been reported that the much-awaited release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be pushed back to a later date. Speculations ran rife claiming that Square Enix has chosen to postpone the game in order to make way for the forthcoming action video game, "Final Fantasy XV."
Most recent rumors have pointed out that the fifteenth game title in the "Final Fantasy" series is the main consideration of the game developer, stating that Square Enix is reportedly prioritizing the game's marketing and launching to avoid conflict with "Kingdom Hearts 3."
A few critics then noted that it is a great strategy for the company giant to maximize the potential buyers, considering that releasing the game at the same time could hamper the communities of both franchises, University Herald has learned.
Further, voice actor Quinton Flynn adds fuel to the flames of release date rumors when he took to Twitter on April 5, revealing that he has not yet recorded anything for the third installment.

This implies that the production of the game has not started yet, in spite of some past reports claiming that the company is already developing the gameplay. In late 2015, a new "Kingdom Hearts 3" footage was shown at the Jump Festa 2015 in Makuhari Messe, Tokyo, Japan.
The trailer showcased new gameplay components - new enemies, new traversal elements, key blade transformations and new collaborate assaults, which combine Sora, Donald, and Goofy skills' into one lethal attack. In a released statement, Director Tetsuya Nomura shed some light on the never-ending talks of new worlds in the third franchise.
"We are prioritizing the creation of new worlds in 'Kingdom Hearts 3,' and we would have to consider the reveal timing of those worlds, making sure that we discuss with Disney," Nomura said in a press statement released by Square Enix.
While there have been no updates on the game's official release date yet, prior reports claim that the game will be coming no later 2017.
