It seems that 2NE1 comeback has been delayed again by YG Entertainment and, instead, will hold Pink Punk debut soon.

In the light of Minzy's departure from the group, YG announced that 2NE1 is preparing for a comeback in the summer, which is just a few months away.

In an official statement from YG, according to All Kpop, "We are sorry to inform the many 2NE1 fans who've waited so long. We are making an official announcement that 2NE1's maknae Minzy will no longer be a part of 2NE1."

"The remaining three members have re-signed, and they're preparing for a new song release for this summer as 2NE1. We are not looking for an additional member to replace Minzy," the statement said.

The rumored delay is reportedly due to the cold reception of netizens towards Park Bom's recent outings. Park Bom's drug scandal seemed still fresh in people's mind and they feel like Bom needs more time for self-reflection before coming back in the entertainment industry. Park Bom was seen slowly entering the business by coming back in social media and tagging along with Sandara in her commitments in the Philippines.

Moreover, while most fans are still upset after the group's youngest member Minzy left from the group, some fans are saying that she is better off leaving the label from which she received the least attention. Latest reports claimed that Minzy is looking for new label to cater her talents. Lastly, YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk has a reputation of delaying the artists' debuts and comebacks.

With the absence of a flagship girl group, YG reportedly will push the "Pink Punk" debut. For many months, YG fans are on the edge of their seats waiting for the label to introduce a new girl group. The company teased on its trainees via reality shows and, ads, and music videos.

While there is no official lineup revealed yet, speculations are rife that the group will include Jennie Kim was featured in one of G-Dragon's song "That XX". Kim Jisoo appeared in various endorsements with iKON. Moon Sua appeared in the second season of "Unpretty Rapstar," Jang Hana from audition program KPOP Star will reportedly join the girl group, Lisa who is the face of YG clothing line Nonagon.
