New details for "Final Fantasy 7" will feature a possible appearance at E3 2016, episodic style release and a bundled version of the game in 2019.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the status of "Final Fantasy 7" remake as Square Enix is currently busy developing and promoting two of their upcoming titles, "Final Fantasy XV" and "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided".
Square Enix plans on revealing new information for "Final Fantasy XV" and "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" in this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo next month and in addition to that they might showcase more "Final Fantasy 7" remake details in the said event, IDigital Times reported.
It was during the PlayStation Experience event last year that gamers caught a glimpse of "Final Fantasy 7" remake, featuring improved graphics and more action oriented gameplay as opposed to its traditional turn-based gameplay from the original title.
There are also been rumored reports that "Final Fantasy 7" remake will likely have an episodic style release which consist of several chapters that highlights certain and important events from the game. Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase told Game Informer Square Enix developers have already reached a consensus on the number of installments the remake will have, but the plans are still open to changes along the way.
Kitase added that the development team has not yet decided if "Final Fantasy 7" remake should have a full-action based style gameplay, but "FFVII" remake director Tetsuya Nomura stated that when it comes to action games, it is best represented by "Dissidia" in a contemporary game style.
In other news, Square Enix might release a bundled version of "Final Fantasy 7" remake in 2019 as it is theorized that the game will likely launch on 2017, while future episodes will be release 2018 leading the bundle version in the next.
NeoGaf username Philippo stated that Square Enix should emmulate the same launch of the game as "Final Fantasy XIII" which consisted of three episodes, and will likely have 30 hours of gameplay time.
Other rumored features in "Final Fantasy 7" remake include fully-voiced characters and more mini-games than the original.
"Final Fantasy 7" remake is speculated to launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4 as it marks the 20th Anniversary of the beloved sequel.
