If reports are anything to go by, the mobile carrier AT&T will start rolling out Android Marshmallow to the HTC One M9 and HTC One M8 on May 12.
In April, HTC said that users of the One M8 and One M9 on AT&T had to wait for some weeks before their handsets would be updated to Android 6.0 M. The smartphones' variants for Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon had already got the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
HTC One M9, which was released in March 2015, has a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, Digital Trends reported.
Some of the other features of the device include Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GB of internal storage, 2840mAh non removable battery, a 4-ultrapixel front shooter and 20-megapixel primary camera on the back.
HTC One M8, which was released in March 2014, has a 5.00-inch touchscreen display. Other features of One M8 include Snapdragon 801 processor, 16GB of internal storage, 2600mAh non removable battery, a 5 MP front shooter and a 4-ultrapixel primary camera on the rear.
According to recent reports, Samsung has started pushing out the Android 6.0.1 M update for its Galaxy S5 Plus handset in Germany. The smartphone was launched in 2014.
Over the past few weeks, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has seen the Android Marshmallow update in several markets. Currently, the tech company is rolling out the update to the Galaxy S5 Plus, SamMobile reported .
The latest update brings the Samsung smartphone from Android 5.0.2 Lollipop to the newest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow version. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus smartphone got Android 5.0.2 Lollipop in March last year.
The build number for the update is G901FXXU1CPE1.
It is important to note that the update is being rolled out in stages. Therefore, the update may take some time to reach all the Galaxy S5 Plus users in the region. At present, the over-the-air update is being made available in Germany.
According to several reports, the Android 6.0.1 M update will be rolled out in other nations pretty soon. Some of the features of the newest update are support for app permissions, Google Now on Tap and Doze mode.
