ASUS has just released a teaser video for the new Zenfone 3 line of smartphones and the specs have been spotted on a leaked through an AnTuTu benchmark.
After the successful Zenfone 2 line, fans are now anticipating the new smartphone roster from ASUS. The company has now released a teaser for three possible variants of the Zenfone 3 line which could be unveiled at the upcoming Computex event on May 30.
The YouTube video that was released showed stock timelapse videos of nature. There were snowflakes, mountains and others.
It also featured three words which could be the names of the new Zenfone 3 phones, Android Community reported. They were Clarity, Desire and Unlimited.
At the end of the teaser, the back of the three phones are shown. What is interesting is that they are all sized differently.
The different sizes could mean that there would be a small, medium and large Zenfone 3. ASUS's previous line of smartphones also have varying screen sizes which makes sense.
Out of all the three variants, the Clarity model could sport a 4.5-inch screen. The other two would feature 5 to 5.5 inches for their display sizes, GSM Arena has learned.
Previous reports have claimed that the Zenfone 3 phones would also sport a 2.5D glass for their screens with protection from Gorilla Glass 4. Unfortunately, the maximum resolution will be 1920 x 1080 for Full High-Definition.
In terms of the specs, ASUS does not disappoint. The leaked AnTuTu benchmark shows one variant to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and the Adreno 530 GPU.
The RAM is at 4GB while the internal storage will be 32GB. What is more impressive is the camera which will be 8MP for the front and 23MP for the rear.
ASUS's Zenfone 3 has a model name of Z016D. It will run the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company's own ZenUI 3.0.
Clarity, Desire and Unlimited could be the ASUS Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Zenfone 3 Max. The current line also has a similar roster of naming convention.
Other phones are expected to sport a MediaTek chipset. It is not known yet whether the chipsets will be based on the region they are launched in.
ASUS is expected to unveil the new Zenfone 3 line at the Computex event in Taipei on May 30. Shipping for the phones is expected sometime in June.
