The success of Rockstar Games' latest game, "GTA V," has had fans clamoring for the next installment in the "GTA" franchise. Take-Two already teased on future projects that Rockstar is working on, but it remains to be known whether the next game will be "GTA 6" or "Red Redemption 2."

Details about future projects is still unknown, but avid fans believe that the game developers will give further information during the imminent Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 slated for June 14-16 in Los Angeles, California. The company used the word "projects" to indicate that they are working on several new games, according to Metro. This makes sense since they possess several studios, although none has made an official announcement for now.

According to Take-Two, Rockstar Games is currently hard at work on some great future projects that will be unveiled soon. It is rumored that the game developer is gearing up for "Red Redemption 2." Many fans have been betting on the title as there has been a reported map discovered for "Red Redemption 2."

The likelihood of another "GTA" game may not happen anytime soon since "GTA 5" is still performing well in terms of sales. The game successfully sold 65 million copies globally, and it has just hit 5 million sales in the past three months. With the game so hot, it is rational that "GTA 6" is in development, and some fans expect the sixth installment in the "GTA" franchise will be released as soon as "GTA 5" sales start to dwindle.

CFO Lainie Goldstein as well confirmed via Gamespot that Take-Two is expecting a split of revenue of 745/25 between Rockstar and 2K Games for the financial year, particularly from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017. Therefore, Rockstar Games' next game may not come out until the end of the financial year.

Investors wanted to know why Take-Two did not consider the trend of giving HD remasters. CEO Strauss Zelnick said that he would not comment now, but leaves the decision to Rockstar.
