"Grand Theft Auto V" is currently the largest game in the "GTA" franchise when it comes to the size of the map, after the classic "GTA: San Andreas." However, fans still wish that the game developer, Rockstar, came up with even a larger map for the much-awaited "GTA 6" to surpass the current map in the franchise.

Users at Reddit gave a better picture to the fanbase when they developed a sample of what could be the map for the upcoming "Grand Theft Auto VI." The sample map combined regions that Rockstar Games used in the previous installments from "Grand Theft Auto III" up to the current "GTA 5."

Following this theory, rumors have emerged suggesting that the size of the map could be the reason behind Rockstar Games delaying the release of the sixth installment in the franchise to an indefinite period, according to Gamen Guide. Some critics might perceive this as a very ambitious, improbable theory, and even a wish from a fan.

However, Leslie Benzies, the former Rockstar North President, had teased back in 2012 that future games might possibly feature maps that are associated with the previous installments.

Speaking in an interview with Digital Trends, the former president said, "Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas, and in that context reimagining Vice City would be very interesting."

The statement is not an indication that "GTA 6" will indeed release with all the maps in the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise. Therefore, fans should take the information with a pinch of slat and wait for official confirmation from Rockstar Games.

While the game developer has not yet given any official statement concerning the highly anticipated "GTA 6" and its release date, it is rumored that the company could be waiting for the next generation consoles - PS5 and Xbox Two - before releasing the game. Stay tuned for any updates as soon as they trickle in.

Here is a sneak peek to have a glimpse of what "GTA 6" will look like when if eventually releases.
