Asus has recently revealed that they will be participating at the 2016 Computex event in Taiwan. It is believed that the company will be unveiling the much-awaited Zenfone 3 along with its other variants.
Starting from May 30 to June 4, the 2016 Computex event will be the venue for tech-giants to showcase their upcoming devices. As for Asus, the company has been rumored to unveil their latest smart phone, the Zenfone 3. But the Taiwan-based company has not revealed any of its specifications at the moment and has been mum about the information, Android Pit noted.
The report added that the new model will come in three variants namely, the Zenfone 3 which is the standard type, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, a larger version with less impressive specifications, and the Zenfone 3 Max which has the most superior features among the three.
In terms of features, the report also mentioned that the Zenfone 3 will be sporting a 23 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera with a Snapdragon processor as well. It is also expected that this new phone will be leaning towards the use of fingerprint technology in order to keep up with the growing number of devices which uses the said feature. In case this happens, it is the first mobile device of Asus to include fingerprint scanning as one of its highlights.
The Zenfone 3 will also make use of the USB Type-C connector, as confirmed by Asus Chairman Jonney Shih in his interview with Trusted Reviews. As for the exact release date, Shih refused to give any scheduled time but several reports already claimed that the upcoming device is expected to be released from May to June 2016.
It can be recalled that the Zenfone 2 came with the 5-inch and 5.5-inch variants. If the same trend is used as a reference, the Zenfone 3 will most likely come with the same screen sizes as well. Nevertheless, since no confirmation has been made by Asus regarding the Zenfone 3 specifications, all of these should still be taken with a grain of salt.
