The latest details for "Umbrella Corps" will feature new maps, game modes and pre-order details, as well as a possible appearance of "Resident Evil 7" at E3 2016.
Capcom streamed a new trailer for the "Resident Evil" spin-off shooter, "Umbrella Corps" as it introduces new maps, pre-order bonuses and its new game modes. The new maps for "Umbrella Corps" will have players visit Raccoon City and its infamous Police Department that were featured in "Resident Evil 2" and "Resident Evil 3.
As seen in the video, gamers will have tough time exploring the ruined streets of Raccoon City due to the T-Virus zombies and mutants running around the area along with overturned cars and walls of flames. Gamers can use the cars as a vantage point and cover fire and can use the city's sewers to get around the area very quickly.
The Raccoon City Police Department will have feature several familiar areas such as the ornate statue that houses several key items during "Resident Evil 2. The ruinous RPD building interior is re-imagined as a patchwork refuge, with metal sheeting and scaffolding connecting the first and second floors. The only draw back of the area is that gamers will be easily exposed to enemy fire.
Aside from the maps, the "Umbrella Corps" trailer also showcases the new Multi-Mission mode which consist of 3-on-3 battles in eight different unique ways to play the game. These are "Respawn Match", "Target Hunter", "Collector", "Domination", "DNA Hunter", "Collar War", "Protector" and "SP DNA Hunter".
In addition, there is also the solo game mode "The Experiment" which allows the player to explore TriCell and fight several hordes of monsters for survival.
Capcom revealed several add-ons for "Umbrella Corps." called the "Upgrade Packs" which features several character skins, weapons, patches, emotes and custom colors from several "Resident Evil" characters Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, Jake Muller, Barry Burton and HUNK for $15. Although the base version of Umbrella Corp goes for $30, you can get it bundled with the "Upgrade Pack" for $40 in a Deluxe Edition, VG 24/7 reported.
In other news, several rumors are making rounds that Capcom might debut "Resident Evil 7" in this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo next month.
Kantan Games' CEO Dr. Serkan Toto tweeted that "Resident Evil 7" is in "development" and the sequel will likely return to its "classic" gameplay horror style. He added that former Kojima Productions designer Jordan Amaro has been hired in developing the sequel.
Capcom has already revealed three games this year with a new "Monster Hunter" title being the first, while the second title could be "Resident Evil 7", while the third titles could either be a new "Dead Rising" sequel or "Devil May Cry 5", Gamerant reported.
