A year after the LG G Flex 2 was unveiled, consumers are already asking whether the next iteration of LG's G Flex series would be announced any time soon. By the time the G Flex 2 was released, many consumers found the device intriguing because of its "self-healing" feature that allows the phone to heal scratches it acquired. Currently, there are rumors that the LG G Flex 3 will be announced sometime in September during the IFA 2016.
In terms of specifications, MobiPicker reported that the G Flex 3 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a 4 GB RAM. Consumers might be thinking that the heating issue experienced in G Flex 2 would still be a problem for the upcoming phone, but several reviews assured that this will not be the case for the new processor.
On the other hand, Game N Guide reported that there are varying claims regarding the display of G Flex 3. It could either come in a 6-inch 2K or a 5.6-inch 2K resolution display. As for the camera, the device may sport a 20.7 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera suitable for those who are fond of taking selfies.
For its internal storage, a 32GB expandable internal memory would be good news for users as this would entail larger memory space especially that LG allowed storage expansion, Game N Guide reported. The same report also noted that LG may include an iris-scanner or a finger-print scanner at a minimum. Finger-print scanning devices has become a trend nowadays, while application of the iris-scanning technology is highly being anticipated to feature in the future devices.
With the IFA event foreseen in September, the new iteration from the G Flex series is expected to be unveiled during the event. As for its cost, the smart phone is said to be priced at around $769. It is advised that all of these information should still be taken with a pinch of salt as LG has not confirmed anything yet as of the moment.
