"Final Fantasy XV" will feature a new gameplay demo at E3 2016, characters from the "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV" movie and Square Enix journey on developing the sequel.
It seems that gaming and "Final Fantasy" fans will be treated with a new gameplay demo for "Final Fantasy XV" as Square Enix announced on their official blog website that game will be present at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo event on June 14-16.
In addition to the "Final Fantasy XV" demo, Square Enix will also feature several demo gameplay from other titles such as "Finald Fantasy: Brave Exvius" and "Milestone S.R.L. and Valentino Rossi: The Game", as well as events for the "20 years of Tomb Raider" and some Q&A segments for the "FFXV". It was announced before that a new Active Time Report for "Final Fantasy XV" will be featured in the event, which will likely showcase the new demo and answer the fans questions about it.
Aside from the E3 2016 appearance, Square Enix talked about their long journey in developing "Final Fantasy XV" in a new video diary called "10 Years in the Making: The Long Road to Final Fantasy XV". Game director Hajime Tabata is featured in the diary as he discuss the planning and hardships in making the game, not to mention the evolution of the game series through the years from the first game to the upcoming titles.
Tabata stated that when they make a "Final Fantasy" game, the most important aspect to challenge one's self and take the risk in order to build integrity and character not just in making the game, but the person as well as participating in the project. Part 2 of the video diary will be presented during the E3 2016 event.
In other news, new character details for the "Final Fantasy" CGI animated film "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV" have been revealed.
Square Enix was able to provide the necessary details for the key characters in the CGI animated film. "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV" will feature events that happened within "Final Fantasy XV" game featuring Noctis' father, King Regis (Sean Bean) after he let his son escaped from his kingdom during the Niflheim.
The first of these characters is named Nyx Ulric, the main protagonist of the movie and member of King Regis elite squad simply known as "Kingsglaive". In the movie he was saved by King Regis during his childhood and has since felt he owes him a debt of gratitude. He has has amazing combat skills and an affinity to use magic.
The second character will be Lunafreya Nox Flueret, Noctis' childhood friend and love interest in the game. She is an oracle who has the ability to speak with the gods.
The next four characters are the members of "Kingsglaive" starring with Drautos the commander of group and is described as being hard on himself and others, and values great effort in the way they do things. Next is Libertus Ostium, Nyx's bestfriend who lived in the same hometown with bright personality and strong sense of responsibility, but can be stubborn and emotional in certain situations.
The next member is Lache Lazarus who considers himself as "leader" of Kingsglaive due to his intelligence. The last member is Crowe Altius, a powerful magic user who grew up outside of Lucis' borders and has a close relationship with the group, treaing them as her "real" family, Siliconera reported.
"Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV" will be shown first in Japan on July 9, while there is no announcement for its western release.
"Final Fantasy XV" will launch on Sept. 30 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
