KCON is an annual K-Pop convention held in the United States and Japan, respectively. With an aim to establish a yearly K-pop flagship event, Powerhouse Live along with South Korea's Mnet Media, Koreaboo, and CJ E&M organized the said convention in 2012. From that point forward, the drastic rise of K-pop wave in the U.S. is evident.
As a matter of fact, last year's KCON music festival have drawn more than 90,000 individuals, with a sold-out horde of 28,000 fans and gross sales of $2,055,800 in the U.S. alone. In November 2015, the yearly attendance totals grew to 107,000, with the expansion of the two-day domestic convention and concert in Jeju Island, which was attended by about 17,000 individuals.
