Sasha Banks has been out of action due to a possible concussion suffered at a live event earlier this month. According to the latest rumors, the WWE has cleared Banks from her injury and she is expected to be back on television anytime soon.
The Boss suffered the head injury at a WWE live event on May 15 in Charlottesville, Virginia while wrestling in a six-woman tag team match, Squared Circle Sirens reported. She was reportedly kneed to head inadvertently by referee Derrick Moore during the match with Becky Lynch and Paige against Dana Brooke, Eva Marie and Lana.
The WWE has been very cautious about head injuries, especially concussions, since the double-murder suicide of Chris Benoit and his family. The company performs imPACT testing with Daniel Bryan retiring due to his history of head trauma.
There were also some reports saying that the WWE was just waiting for the right time to push Banks. Her last televised match was at the post-WrestleMania 32 Monday Night Raw and her last appearance was the "Payback" pay-per-view in a backstage segment with Shane McMahon.
According to Cageside Seats, the WWE and its doctors have cleared the former NXT women's champion from head injury. She has been scheduled to work on WWE house shows in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on Saturday and LaCrosse, Wisconsin on Sunday.
It should also be noted that Banks was planned to have a match at the "Money in the Bank" next month. If she is indeed cleared from her injury, the WWE may continue with the supposed plan since the event is more than three weeks away.
The 24-year-old's last feud was against Summer Rae that did not go anywhere since they only had one match. Before that, she was battling for the WWE women's championship at WrestleMania 32 against Lynch and Charlotte in a Triple Threat Match.
Many fans are missing Banks' presence but they should expect her to back soon. She has been rumored in the past several weeks to face Charlotte at SummerSlam and win the women's title there.
It is still three months away and anything could happen. There is also the scheduled brand extension that could affect all the current plans.
