If it were only up to the female fans of “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki, they would want him not only their wedding MC but also their groom. But it seems the most popular actor in South Korea and China is secretive when it comes to his love life.
Reports have persistently linked him to actress Song Hye Kyo whom he is allegedly dating, but the two stars of the 16-episode blockbuster Korean Hallyu had denied the news. He may have been romantic toward the actress in their scenes together in “Descendants of the Sun,” but that was Army Captain Yoo Shi Jin.
The real Song Joong-ki is just a “countrified, slighty prim, and ordinary man,” the 30-year-old actor said in his interview with Harper Bazaar Korea’Taiwan'ss June 2016 issue, now available at newsstands. “I don’t think there’s a man like Yoo Shi Jin in the world,” AllKpop quoted the actor.
He is so ordinary that Song Joong-ki said there is nothing special about his dating style. Like many celebrities, he would prefer to keep his love life a secret if he would be in a romantic relationship. The actor has been vocal about keeping his and his family’s privacy despite his popularity, although a copy of his passport was leaked over the weekend.
“I have no plans to go public if I get into a relationship. I will do my best to preserve the emotion for that person that I like but I also want to keep it secret for that person,” Soompi quoted the actor.
Although secretive about his personal life, Song Joong-ki wants to have better communication with fans when it comes to his career which is why he is currently studying English, Chinese and Japanese. At a recent fan meeting in China, the audience was happy to hear him sing “Long Time No See” in Chinese.
