"The Walking Dead" season 7 will reportedly introduce comic book character Shiva, but the role will not be played by an actor.
According to the show's official spoiler site The Spoiling Dead Fans, Shiva will be part of some episodes of "The Walking Dead" season 7 in the form of CGI and animatronics.
On the official Instagram for "The Walking Dead," a cartoonized photo of Ezekiel with his pet tiger Shiva was shared.
"Happy #nationalpetday! Hope you love your pet today as much as Ezekiel loves Shiva," the caption read.
Meanwhile, according to Design N Trend, "The Walking Dead" season 7, episode 3 will partially take place at Ezekiel's Kingdom. This suggests that the speculations with regards to seeing or even hearing Shiva in the hit AMC series could be true.
"'The Walking Dead' cast and crew have spent several days filming inside Tyler Perry's closed studio, and it's believed to contain the TV replica of the beloved comic locale. As for Shiva, however, the tease specifically says 'rumor has it she'll be a mix of CGI and animatronics.' A playful roar was also added for comedic effect," the publication noted.
In the comic books, it was revealed that Ezekiel and Shiva both rule the Kingdom. Ahead of the apocalypse, Shiva was born as a zoo tiger. However, she was saved by Ezekiel after suffering from profuse bleeding and the two immediately became the best of friends.
In other news, "The Walking Dead" season 7 is expected to reveal which character was killed off by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) from the previous season.
According to the same publication, by episode 3, the character's identity could still be kept a secret.
As of late, there are rumors that Steven Yeun's Glenn could have been Negan's target. Some fans also believe that Negan targeted a less important character whose death will not necessarily leave a huge impact on viewers.
Who do you think did Negan kill in "The Walking Dead" season 6, and are you excited to see Shiva in the hit AMC series?
"The Walking Dead" season 7 will premiere on AMC on Oct. 9.
