Amber Heard has more shocking revelations about her husband Johnny Depp, saying that he is an alcoholic and a drug addict. The actress also filed a defamation lawsuit against comedian Doug Stanhope.
Heard sued Stanhope as well as other unnamed defendants for allegedly orchestrating a story to falsely accuse her of plaintiff and labeling her actions as "blackmail," which may ruin her reputation and her career.
The young actress said that the false and defamatory claims helped Depp to cause her "tremendous harm." She also said that the only concern of the powerful representatives of the "Pirate of the Caribbean" star is to help Depp by trashing her reputation despite the repeated physical and verbal abuse she received.
A detailed account of the alleged violence by Depp was submitted by Heard saying that her husband is using drugs and alcohol and that she was repeatedly abused both physically and verbally. She also claimed that Depp kicked her, hit her, threw objects at her and that she was nearly suffocated which made her fear for her life.
The court documents also added that Depp is an alcoholic and drug addict which increased in the recent years, making him more violent.
But despite all these, the actress claims that she loves Depp and she tried to save their relationship repeatedly. She claims to have left the actor many times, but returned to him, hoping to salvage their relationship.
"Heard repeatedly returned to Depp, despite his verbal and physical mistreatment of her, hoping optimistically that the man she married would change his behavior," said the documents, according to People. "Each time Heard returned, however, within months, the cycle of substance abuse and violence repeated."
The documents also mentioned about the commitment of Heard to work things out and that she gave Depp many chances to change but since his behavior remained the same, Heard filed divorce and is even seeking a restraining order.
According to Heard, she is planning to donate proceeds of her lawsuit to a domestic violence charity in Arizona, the state where she filed the documents and where Stanhope resides.
