"Watch Dogs 2" developer Ubisoft has announced that they are coming up with their official announcement trailer. Fans could watch the premiere on its official website on June 8, Wednesday, at 9 a.m. P.T./ 12 p.m. ET.
Ubisoft dropped a teaser trailer on June 6, Monday that showed someone scanning the fictional smartphone hacking software from the open-world crime. "Watch Dogs" followed the character of a smart hacker from Chicago, Aiden Pearce, whose criminal past brought his family's tragedy, according to Coming Soon.
The original "Watch Dogs" was released in 2014 with sales of more than nine million copies. It was the best-selling new property in Ubisoft's history.
The developer has high expectation on the sequel because there is no new update on "Assassin's Creed" this 2016. Ubisoft is set to unveil other new releases soon.
The game allows the players to hack and manipulate all connected to the city's network. They could control traffic lights and public transportation to stop the enemy, access pervasive security cameras and download personal information to locate a target.
The game also takes the players to participate in a brand new multiplayer game system where they could interact, cooperate and confront with other players. The new game mode links the single and multiplayer options in a single platform for a more enjoyable gaming experience.
Ubisoft will showcase the game in action at the Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show in Los Angeles next week. Ubisoft is partaking in the event to feature its newest products in the industry that include the "Watch Dogs 2."
Despite Ubosoft keeping mum on the details of the game, a few leaks came out more recently, Game Spot reported. In May, performance artist King shared a post in his social media account of what appeared to be the protagonist of "Watch Dogs 2." A gift box with items that have a logo similar to the game was also seen from a YouTube personality.
Ubisoft's game conference is on June 13, Monday at 1 p.m. P.T. The game is set to be launched at the end of March 2017.
