"Dragon Ball Super" fans are excited in the wake of big revelations about the series' upcoming major plot. Rumors have surfaced focusing on Future Trunks and Black Goku - the two characters that were mentioned by series creator Toriyama.
Toei Animation has now unveiled another trailer for the imminent "Future Trunks Arc" in the anime series. The teaser gives more information on what avid fans should expect when episode 47 finally commences.
"Future Trunks Arc" is scheduled to commence on June 12. According to "Dragon Ball Super" official website, the upcoming storyline will feature a fan-favorite fighter from the DBZ years.
In the upcoming arc, fans will be taken to Future Trunks' timeline, where after defeating the Androids, a dangerous villain called "Black Goku" surfaces. It is up to Future Trunks to return to the past and convince Goku and Vegeta to collaborate with him in saving his timeline.
The first episode titled "SOS From the Future! A New Black Enemy Reveals Himself!", fans saw Black Goku's design and the villain looks more monstrous than ever imagined.
When "Dragon Ball Super" series creator Akira Toriyama, who is at the same time dealing with designs and plotting the new arc, teased that a "Black Goku" is coming, it became clear that the villain will take over bodies or copy them. The series creator as well unveiled that the upcoming storyline will involve both the Supreme Kai and Gods of Destruction.
"Future Trunks Arc" happens after the end of the "Gods of Destruction Champa Arc." In this arc, Goku and the Z fighters were involved in an inter-dimensional tournament.
Meanwhile, when Trunks' design was revealed, many fans discovered that the character's iconic purple hair color changed to a light blue hue. While the change might only be cosmetic for purposes of the upcoming arc, it is alleged that there might be a hidden meaning behind this change.
The blue hair color might foreshadow that Trunks will reach Super Saiyan Blue in the upcoming arc, according to Saiyan Island official website. Coming from a future with a very dangerous threat in the form of Black Goku, there is possibility that Trunks will have already reached the power level far beyond what he could initially manage.
