Korean pop singer CL is hitting the airwaves in the United States once again as her song "Hello Bitches" has been featured in an advertisement by a major U.S. company.

CL (Lee Chae-rin), the leader of the popular South Korean group 2NE1, has also been successful as a solo artist. Her song that was used as background music in T-Mobile's advertisement was released in November 2015. The #GetThanked ad of one of the major carriers in the country is 30 seconds long and is already being shown on television nationwide. Here is the video as posted by T-Mobile on Twitter.

"Hello Bitches" was a pre-promotion performance for CL's debut in the U.S. The music video of the song, composed by Teddy and Jean-Baptiste, was shot in Los Angeles, California. The lyrics were written by CL herself, together with Teddy, Jean-Baptiste and Danny Chung. As of writing, CL's "Hello Bitches" dance performance video has attracted almost 16 million views. Her official debut in the states, which was first revealed in October 2014, is yet to be announced. She is reportedly working with manager Scooter Braun, who represents Psy, for a 2016 schedule.

"I always wanted to do my solo album in English, because I grew up listening to a lot of pop artists and English-based songs, but you can't really do that in Korea, so...," the 25-year-old songwriter-rapper told Billboard earlier this year.

CL's first solo single was released on May 28, 2013, titled "The Baddest Female." The singer is working her upcoming EP called "Lifted," which would include songs such as "Birthday," "Fallin'," "One" and "Dr. Pepper."

In a related 2NE1 news, former member Minzy has signed a new contract with Music Works. She has left the girl group, which is now a trio, to pursue her career as a solo artist and to be known as Gong Minji instead of a member of 2NE1. Minzy was the youngest member of 2NE1, in which she debuted in 2009 when she was only 16 years old under YG Entertainment. Minzy inked an exclusive contract with her new home, which the agency has confirmed in a press release, SBS reported.
