"Resident Evil 7" was revealed during Sony's E3 press conference, and it will be launched on PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, Xbox One and PC. The new sequel will only have a first person view when players play it.
It was originally announced during Sony's E3 2016 conference that it will be coming the PS4 and PlayStation VR, but it was confirmed by Capcom on its official blog that it will also come to the Xbox One and PC too. The new sequel to the popular action horror game franchise will be launched on Jan. 24, 2017. For those who want to try out the video game's mechanics right now, they can download the game demo called Beginning Hour on PlayStation Network if they have a PlayStation Plus subscription.
The upcoming sequel does not look anything like its predecessors, which were all in third person view. It was confirmed by the game company that this new sequel will have a first person view all throughout the game, since they wanted to go back to its roots as a survival horror game. According to Polygon, the video game in virtual reality is really scary.
The new sequel will have "Resident Evil 7 Biohazard" as its official full name. According to the publication, the game feels like one of those horror movies that are shot in first person view, and was found by other people to watch. It is opposite to its old prequels, which were all inspired by survival zombie movies.
Players who have downloaded the demo on PlayStation Network will start in an abandoned farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. They will take a mysterious phone call from the outside that warns them to escape the house before it is too late. They can also try to look around in the rooms where they will find strange things like a pot of rotting food, a microwave that has a raven, dolls that are slowly decaying, and some mannequins that give off a scary vibe.
Preorders for North America are now available, and will come with an exclusive dynamic PS4 theme. They will also get the Survival Pack, which will also include an early unlock to the highest difficulty mode for the game, and also a special item pack when the video game releases. Interested buyers can choose either the standard or the digital deluxe version of the game.
