2NE1 comeback this year may take place after the debut of YG's new girl group as 2NE1 member Dara is sporting a new hairstyle.
In her Instagram account, Dara boasted her new blue highlights. Dara is quite known for her ever-changing and edgy hairstyles every time the group is making a comeback. Her fans took the comment section to clamor for a 2NE1 comeback soon or another Dara solo single.
Dara's last single was way back in 2010 with "Kiss". She is the only 2NE1 member that is active in South Korea.
Adding fuel to the fire is the public sightings of Park Bom, who is most likely trying to reenter the entertainment industry by seeking favor from the public. YG is probably testing how the public will receive Park Bom.
2NE1 has been in hiatus for almost three years following Park Bom's drug scandal. During this time, CL is busy preparing for her US debut, while Dara took over the PR department in YG and hone her acting and hosting skills.
However, the 2NE1 comeback may not happen anytime soon as CL is set to have performance in Mexico on July 15. This led to speculations that the 2NE1 comeback is set after the debut of YG girl group dubbed as Pink Punk.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment will debut a new girl group after seven years. During these years, 2NE1 has been the flagship female group of the label. However, the sudden need for a new girl group arises after 2NE1's youngest member Minzy decided to leave the group and the company after her contract expired. She is now signed by Music Works and is planning to pursue a solo career.
Currently, YG confirmed Jennie Kim, Lalisa Manoban, and Kim Jisoo as official members of the new girl group. Yibada previously reported that Park Chaeyoung or Roseanne Park is the final member of the group.
