"Dishonored 2" has decided to include prominent LGBT characters and longer gameplay.
Harvey Smith was asked about the inclusion of LGBT characters on Twitter, to which he answered "Prominent." It was clear that gay/bi characters will be present in the "Dishonored" sequel, though the importance was not known.

While there are few LGBT characters in video games, they are not always prominent. In the case of "Fallout 4" and "Mass Effect", the player can choose the orientation of the character. "The Last of Us" also features one such character, Ellie, as pointed out by Attack of The Fanboy. The character is one of the most prominent gay characters in the history of video games.
Apart from the inclusion of LGBT character, Smith has put some light on the length of the game. While asked about it, he answered, "If Dis1 was 8-12 hours for most people, Dis2 is probably 12-20."
According to the Creative Director of Arkane Studios, the company has not made any comment on the mod support of the game. He mentioned that on his Twitter post. He has been answering a lot of questions since the E3 2016 Bethesda conference.

One thing that is clear about the game is that it does not feature the open world. The video of the game showcased in E3 2016 went into the details of the background though it never suggested an open world. The "Dishonored" first version was not open world, too.
Apart from giving out details of the length and characters, Smith has also mentioned camera view, in his tweets. There will be no third person camera, and "Dishonored 2" will only feature first person camera.
"Dishonored 2" gameplay is still quite unknown, but keen interest has developed among players as the Twittter and other social media suggest. The game is all set to release on Nov. 11.
