As video game consoles take the world by storm with teases and hints of side-by-side releases, primarily coming from renowned video game companies such Nintendo, the challenge of competing to some acclaimed games could be a make or break moment for emerging games. This situation may have pushed Activision to plan a re-release of its video games, "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1," "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2," and "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron" on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
According to reports, Gematsu broke the news about "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance" being remastered for PS4 and Xbox One consoles. More so, the Taiwan Game Software Ratings Board has reportedly given Activision's Marvel-branded game and its sequel the auxiliary 12 rating, as well as another of the company's acclaimed game, "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron."
As reported by Screen Rant, through the ratings given to Activision's video game franchises, all three titles were submitted in reference to re-release on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
The news came in a surprising bit, though the remastering of these team-based role-playing games (RPG) should have been done years ago. The first "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance" title was introduced in 2006 for few consoles such as Xbox 360 and PS2, but as the game became an acclaimed action role-playing game (RPG), PS3 and Wii started putting it on the player's game selection. Its second franchise, however, was released three years later on the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and Wii.
The original "Ultimate Alliance" game took on an adventure of superhero task force formed to destroy the ruthless activities of Doctor Doom, even if it calls for travelling in multiple regions of the Marvel Universe including Latveria, outer space, and the fire-drenched underworld.
More so, the sequel is adapted to the storyline of the recent movie franchise, "Captain America: Civil War," with heroes pushed to manage their worldly responsibilities through Superhero Registration Act.
As of press time, no release date for the "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance" collection and "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron" have been announced.
