According to recent reports, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will not be released this year and will cost $899. However, Chuwi Hi12 is an impressive Microsoft Surface Pro 5 alternative.
The Chuwi Hi12 features a 12.0-inch 2K resolution display with 2160×1440 pixel resolution. It is powered by an Intel Atom Cherry Trail X5 processor coupled with Intel's Gen8 GPU.
The tablet runs Windows 10 Home (dual boot) as well as Android 5.1, CNET reported. Some of the other features of The Chuwi Hi12 are dual USB ports, 64GB of internal storage and 4GB RAM. The device has a 11000mAh Li-Po battery.
The dimensions of Chuwi Hi12 are 11.68 x 7.98 x .0.35 inches and it weighs 1.88 pounds.
Colours are gold, white and gunmetal grey. The Chuwi Hi12 packs a 2 megapixel camera and a 5 megapixel back camera.
The device is 0.35 inches thick. There is a volume control button and a power switch on the top of the Chuwi Hi12.
There is a user manual leaflet, written in English and Chinese. The bottom of the Chuwi Hi12 has a magnetic connector and two sockets that connects to an external keyboard.

Meanwhile, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will reportedly release in 2017. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to have 32GB of RAM. According to several reports, the forthcoming Surface Pro 5 will have 8MP selfie camera and a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera.
The Microsoft device will come in two variants, one with 4K resolution display and the other with 2K resolution. Some of the other features of the upcoming tablet include Surface Pen (with rechargeable battery), HDMI port, Kaby Lake processor.
Several reports indicate that the Redmond giant Microsoft is delaying the release of the Surface Pro 5 due to timeframe issues with mass production of Kaby Lake processor. If the Kaby Lake processor does not make it in time, the tablet will have to wait till early 2017 for its market release.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to start at $899. Furthermore, buyers can now purchase the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (the Intel Core i5, 256GB variant) for $1199. A $50 discount applies to SP 4 that runs on Intel Core m3. The Core m3 variant currently sells for just $849.
