“Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki may be the most popular actor today in China and South Korea, however, as a kid he was a “Dennis the Menace.”
The 30-year-old Hallyu stat told the more than 4,000 fans at the Taiwan meet on Saturday that as a kindergarten pupil, he was an uncontrollable troublemaker. Now a model of top clothing brands, Song Joong-ki also confessed that as a young boy, he was not neat and could not cook very well, so his friends did not eat the food he made, reported Soompi.
However, all these tidbits of information about his young life only made Song Joong-ki only more endearing to his fans to whom he sang “A Little Happiness,” the theme song of the 2015 Taiwanese hit movie “Our Times.” He came prepared for the song by wearing retro clothes and roller skates.
In turn, Taiwanese actor Eric Tsang, star of the hit movie, praised the “Descendants of the Sun” actor for his excellent acting in the 16-episode hit TV series. Although Song Joong-ki said that he watched “Our Times” twice when it was shown in South Korea, Tsang said that he is also a fan of the Korean actor and would want to work with him in the future.
Contrary to unconfirmed reports that Park Bo Gum would be the special guest of the Taiwan fan meet, it was singer Gummy who performed the soundtrack song “You are My Everything” from the “Descendants of the Sun.” With the Taiwan fan meet over, Song Joong-ki only has the Shanghai fan meet on July 13 to end the China leg of his Asian tour.
While fans were hoping it would be Song Hye Kyo who would be his special guest, like in Chengdu, Song Joong-ki did not close the door to working with her again, although because of their tight schedules, both would not be in the upcoming Season 2 of “Descendants of the Sun.” He replied to a fan’s question, “If Song Hye Kyo says it’s okay, I’d like to.”
