"Narcos" season 2 will reportedly premiere on Sept. 2, although there are speculations of its delay. The official trailer hints of Escobar's death. Reports also claim Pablo's run from the Colombian authorities.
On June 13, Netflix announced the first teaser trailer for "Narcos" season 2, the only official launch. The trailer does not reveal the storyline however there are several clues that would lead to assumptions of the story.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Moura (Escobar) teased in an interview with the Netflix talk show, "Chelsea." The lead actor said, "It's all about Pablo on the run....It's from the day Pablo escapes to his death." The upcoming season 2 will revolve around the pursuit of the Colombian authorities to take down Escobar.
The teaser trailer features Wagner Moura, the drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, walking towards the camera. As Moura comes under the light, there is a pause displaying Dec. 1 1949 date and later Dec. 2 1993 date. The first date is of Escobar's birth and the later reveals the date of Escobar's death. And the third date Sep. 2 2016 which may be the premiere date like all other Netflix original shows, all 10 episodes will be released simultaneously.
Probably Season 2 storyline may be about Escobar's life in prison and his efforts to break out the prison to continue his drug empire until he is finally dead. The highly anticipated second season's trailer has developed curiosity among people.
There is no news of the show's third installment, although it was previously reported that the studios are interested in making it. If Season 3 is planned then it may be about the Mexican drug cartels, which were borne of the actions of Pablo Escobar.
"Narcos" is a crime thriller show that tells the story of a real life drug lord, in real life called Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria. Escobar had been a notorious Colombian drug lord during his time.
